Grounds works – February 2021

Grounds works – February 2021

Grounds works will be taking place on Brunel Point on the week commencing 8 February 2021. We will be repairing a few items around the development and refurbishing or replacing some items which are no longer fit for purpose. The main works to be done will be:

  1. Installation of new Sheffield style bike racks near Clarence Mews entry gate and in front of 25-32 Raleigh Court (more info below)
  2. New outlines for car parking spots and relabelling to match flat numbers (more info below)
  3. Levelling of all unsafe areas
  4. Replacement of raised tree root covers
  5. Filling in some unused tree pits
  6. Repairs of uneven walkways
  7. Replacement of Public area surface near to Octagon Court

Car Parking Space Re-painting

The Car Parking spaces in Raleigh Court, Nelson Court, at each end of the Riverside Blocks, and the visitor parking spaces across the entire of the development, will all have their lines repainted. This will be done in a long lasting plastic polymer paint similar to road lines, so these will last much longer than the original paint. The numbers and visitor lettering will be replaced at the same time in the same quality of plastic polymer paint.

Works will run for two to three weeks and will require residents to move cars and bikes in the affected areas. Contractors will leave notices on cars that need to be temporary relocated during working hours – please move your car in good time to allow the work to be completed. Remember that your key fob provides access to the overflow park where additional parking spaces for day use exist. Please be aware that people may use each others parking spots while the works are being undertaken

Bike Rack Replacement

The existing bike racks will be replaced with much more secure black Sheffield bar bike racks. We are replacing the existing racks and will consider whether more will be needed once this work is done.

Bikes attached to bike racks and trees outside 17-49 Raleigh need to be removed by time works start. Bikes not removed will be deemed abandoned and will be removed and held in secure storage for limited time. Contact HML if you need to retrieve a bike which has been removed. Mopeds parked near the gate must be moved as they block the future bike rack location. Please note this area is not designated parking.

Please use the new bike racks once they are installed, and do not attach your bike to trees or other items around the development.
