The pier is currently closed pending repairs. BPMC is engaging various suppliers to perform the repairs required to the Pier with a view to reopening it to residents as soon as it is safe to do so.
The Pier was maintained as a condition of the redevelopment of the former gas works site upon which Brunel Point was built. The Pier was called “Clarence Wharf” and the name is preserved as part of the development in the name “Clarence Mews”, used for the road name for part of the development.
